Concerto Curriculum

The Concerto Curriculum is the educational and community outreach program in which American Pianists Association artists perform for and interact with students and adults in schools, multi-service centers and retirement homes. Those schools with an orchestra or jazz band may qualify for a residency with one of the APA Fellows that culminates in a public performance. Other Concerto Curriculum events may take the form of a master class, a workshop, or a solo recital followed by a question and answer session.

The objectives of the Concerto Curriculum are threefold:

1. To provide as many meaningful musical experiences as possible for the Fellows and candidates.

2. To reach new and under-served audiences.

3. To provide career enhancement and pedagogical growth for the Fellows and finalists.
