Brackets for Good

Brackets for Good

We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve been selected to participate in Brackets For Good, a bracket-style fundraising tournament inspired by the March college basketball tournament!

Starting the evening of Friday, March 2; your donations to American Pianists Association score points. At the end of the week, if we have more points than our opponent we advance. We receive all your donations, regardless of when we exit the tournament. The overall winner receives an additional $10,000 championship grant.

Aside from fundraising, our participation in this contest offers opportunities for fun and greater visibility in the community. As a tie-in to the basketball theme, two-time American Pianists Awards finalist Emmet Cohen will perform the national anthem at the Indiana Pacers game on March 9--just before the buzzer sounds on round 1.

Community Teammates are companies that help support a Brackets For Good nonprofit in their tournament run. We are thankful that Indy's Jazz Kitchen, a key venue for the 2019 American Pianists Awards, has joined our team for this run.

We will be posting tournament updates on social media. Please follow @APApianists on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and consider a donation to help us advance. Every dollar counts and will help drive our mission to discover, promote and advance the careers of jazz and classical pianists!
