Being involved with APA has afforded me a greater appreciation of classical and jazz music through the musicians themselves. Learning about their inspiration and passion to perform, their histories, and frequently their struggles to exist as they pursue their chosen occupation has made me more sympathetic to an artist's plight. The organization was my introduction to the vast Indianapolis arts community, and has been a financial and time priority for the last 15 years.
