CONCERT DETAILS

As Russia emerged from its darkest hours of the war, Prokofiev's triumphant Fifth Symphony symbolized a turning point in the spirit of his people. With the composer on the podium, the first performance in 1945 occurred just moments after Red Army soldiers crossed the River Vistula and entered Nazi Germany in triumph.

2017 American Pianists Awards winner Drew Petersen joins the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra conducted by Yaniv Dinur.
